In recent years, the gluten-free diet has gained popularity with many people. Some avoid gluten due to intolerance or even due to gluten allergy. However, some people choose to avoid it simply to reap the benefits of a gluten-free diet.
A gluten-free or gluten-sensitive diet (meaning you don’t cut it out entirely, but avoid it when possible), can heighten fat-burning processes in your body, ease inflammation and reduce bloating.
Many products in the basis of our food-pyramid (which is made up of bread, cereal, rice, pasta, etc.) contain gluten. The basis of the pyramid makes up the food we consume most often. This makes avoiding gluten in your diet seem like a burdensome task. However, since the awareness of gluten-free diets has increased, gluten-free grain products have gained more popularity as well.
One of our most highly prioritised values at D’Juice House is inclusiveness. We want to make sure that anyone can walk into the store and get something that will make them happy, and we are not willing to cut corners in that aspect. Not only do we want to make gluten-free products available, we also want to make sure they are of high quality and taste just as delicious as our products with gluten.
After trying several different types of gluten-free bread for our D’Sandwiches, we have finally found the perfect substitute for our popular multigrain ciabatta bread with nuts and seeds. Often, gluten-free options for bread can be dry and crumbly, and not as fluffy and crunchy as regular bread. Many people that have tried our gluten-free bread, commented on how it is almost too good to be gluten-free!
The gluten-free bread we offer is organic and made of cornstarch and rice flour in place of regular flour. The yeast in this bread allows it to still be as fluffy as bread containing gluten. Our bread is also covered in sunflower, sesame, pumpkin and poppy seeds, just like our regular bread option. This way, we make sure that our gluten-free option is just as delicious and nutritious as our regular bread.
Since we have begun offering this gluten-free bread, it has quickly become a favourite for everyone that has tried it.
